At a high point in baseball (or football) season, demonstrate "cheerful giving". Describe the crowd at the game. Perhaps lead a few cheers. Next read II Corinthians 9:7-8 and explain what Paul means by giving with "hilarity". Then have the ushers pass the hats, substituting baseball caps (or football helmets) for offering plates. Ask the organist to put out all the stops "Wrigley Field" style.
