Daystar School works with Barnabas Foundation with certain types of contributions. They are very knowledgeable about the benefits and restrictions of different types of gifts and assets, and in all aspects of Christian estate planning. For many years Dordt College has benefited from its partnership with Barnabas Foundation, an organization that encourages stewardship and assists people in their charitable giving and estate planning. We were reminded of this again recently when we received another check from a donor's estate in the Chicago area. The total bequest to the college was more than $55,000 and was administered on behalf of the donor through Barnabas Foundation.

Over the past several years, the Holland Christian Foundation has received an increasing number of gifts from individuals through funds such as Charitable Gift Fund of Fidelity Investments or the Stewards Fund (formerly called the Philanthropic Fund) of Barnabas Foundation.

Timothy is a member organization of Barnabas Foundation. We are one of several hundred Christian organizations which rely on them for planned giving expertise. Barnabas Foundation helps Christians accomplish their individual and family estate planning goals and develops the good habits of stewardship among believers.

At the fall annual meeting of Barnabas Foundation, Timothy Christian Schools received a summary of activities on Timothy's behalf. Last year a total of $182,766 was given to the Timothy Foundation through gift annuities and charitable trusts. In addition, last year $537,663 was given to Timothy for various purposes through Barnabas Foundation Stewards Fund. Since the start of the Stewards Fund, over $2,930,000 has been given to Timothy through the years.
