In 1998, Barnabas
Foundation made a
strategic decision to
professionalize the
oversight and management
of our investments. The
goal was to allocate the
investments across a
diversified portfolio
and hire
nationally-recognized
managers to invest funds
in their areas of
expertise in order to
maximize returns.
There are currently
eight investment
management firms
handling our
portfolio. The
performance of each
manager is measured
against their assigned
benchmark monthly and
reported to our
Investment
Committee. Each of
the managers is
evaluated and reviewed
by our investment
committee on a regular
basis. The performance
of the primary common
trust funds compared to
their benchmarks is
shown below.
