What does stewardship mean?

Stewardship is using all the gifts God gives us - those of time, talent, treasure and creation - for God's glory and honor.

Why is stewardship often thought of as fundraising?

The church seldom talks about stewardship other than in the context of raising money. Fundraising is about raising money. Stewardship is about raising Christians. The church needs to be intentional in developing all the gifts of time, talent, treasure and creation.

How can we meet church budget shortfalls?

Fund-raising techniques will bring short-term positive results. However, there will be positive long-term results from being intentional in promoting an ongoing, all-encompassing stewardship program in the church, including stewardship of treasure.
