Once a year, a reverse offering uses slips of paper on which various food items are written. Each person takes one from the offering plate as it is passed. They are asked to bring that item to the front of church the following Sunday. This can be for the local food bank. It's always inspiring to see the pile of food right in front of the sanctuary.
